Meet the Jacksonville Team Behind Carver Gate Repair Jacksonville

Every gate we touch in Jacksonville gets the same crew behind it: people who live here, work here, and know what salt air and afternoon thunderstorms do to gate hardware. We’re part of the Garrison Partners family, which means every technician on this team has operated to The Garrison Standard since 2008. The names below aren’t a roster. They’re the people who’ll show up at your driveway, introduce themselves, and write you a price before anyone picks up a tool.

Our People

Marcus D. – Lead Gate Technician

Marcus has spent 14 years working on swing and slide gate systems across Duval County, with most of his calls concentrated in Mandarin, San Marco, and the beaches. He’s factory-trained on LiftMaster, FAAC, and Linear operators, and he’s the guy we send when a gate has been “fixed” twice by someone else and still won’t close. Marcus keeps a running list of the oddest things he’s pulled out of gate tracks over the years. A rusted anchor from a boat trailer still holds the top spot.

Elena R. – Senior Gate Installer

Elena came to gate installation from commercial access control, so her strong suit is new gate builds that have to work with keypads, vehicle loop detectors, and safety photo eyes from day one. She handles custom ornamental steel gates and driveway slide gates throughout Arlington and the Southside. Elena is our lead on projects where the gate is part of a larger fence run, which means she thinks about post depth, drainage, and gate sag before the first panel goes up.

Ty W. – Service Coordinator

Ty is the voice on the phone at 2 a.m. when a gate motor dies and a homeowner can’t get out of their own driveway. He’s been dispatching gate repair calls in Jacksonville for nine years and knows the difference between “the gate is stuck” and “the gate is off the track and blocking the street.” Ty routes every technician, keeps parts organized by brand, and is the reason we hit our arrival windows. He also knows which neighborhoods back up to retention ponds where gate posts settle faster than anywhere else in the city.

Danielle S. – Apprentice Technician

Danielle joined us two years ago after working as an electrician’s helper, and she’s in the middle of her operator certification track on BFT and Mighty Mule systems. You’ll see her on repair calls with Marcus, running diagnostics on limit switches and checking capacitor readings while he works through the mechanical side. She’s methodical to the point of labeling her own tool bag pouches, which everyone here respects and none of us have the discipline to copy.

One Standard, Every Job

Jacksonville gate repair is full of one-truck operations that do decent work and vanish when a repair fails. We don’t work that way. Every technician on this page operates under The Garrison Code, which is the written set of rules every Garrison Partners location follows: show up when you say you will, put the price in writing before work starts, and stand behind the repair for a full year. We call it the 365-Day Done Right Promise, and the guarantee goes on paper with every job, not as a verbal “trust me.”

If a gate we fixed fails inside that guarantee window, the second visit is free. No charge, no argument, no “that’s a different problem.” The same applies to the job site: gates leave posts with concrete dust in the grass and wire clippings on pavers when crews aren’t careful. Ours are. The background-checked, uniformed technician who shows up is the same person Lonnie Burke hired and trained to the Garrison Standard, which has been the operating rule here since 2008.

Lonnie doesn’t hand dispatch to a call center and hope for the best. The phones are answered by a live person 24 hours a day, every day of the year, because a gate that won’t open at 6 a.m. on a Saturday is still our problem at 6:05. When you call (904) 490-8559, you get Ty or another coordinator who can tell you what’s wrong, what it usually costs, and when a truck can be in your driveway. Then a member of this team shows up and does the job the same way every time: diagnose, write the price, get your approval, fix it, clean up, and hand you the guarantee in writing.
